Education for your child at Kiddys Corner
Today, Kiddys Corner is the forerunner in the sphere of children’s education among preschools, playschools, nursery schools, and kindergarten schools in Chembur.
UNDERSTANDING OF THE WORLD
The entire curriculum revolves around monthly themes, and each month, the teachers focus on the different development areas through the theme. The themes are powerful concepts for developing an understanding of the wider world.
Level 1
Children learn to count up to 30, and are introduced to the concept of ‘before’ and ‘after’.
Level 2
Introduces basic addition and subtraction, numbers up to 100, and counting in multiples (this aids in the ability to do quick mental math later)
Level 3
Expands on the concept of multiples and halves & introduces techniques that aid in mental math in addition to the concepts of Time & Money.
READING, WRITING & THE LANGUAGE ARTS
Level 1
Level One introduces children to uppercase and lowercase letters, and beginning sounds and builds fine motor skills to develop writing ability. Children learn to count up to 30, and are introduced to the concept of ‘before’ and ‘after’.
By the middle of Level Two, children can read and write basic three-letter words and start constructing (on paper) short sentences. Level Two introduces basic addition and subtraction, numbers up to 100, and counting in multiples (this aids in the ability to do quick mental math later).

Level 3
Level Three, children are introduced to punctuation, sentence construction, and reading comprehension amongst a variety of other language techniques. Level Three expands on the concept of multiples and halves and introduces techniques that aid in mental math in addition to the concepts of Time and Money.
PUBLIC SPEAKING AND CONFIDENCE
Children get used to expressing themselves in front of adults and peers early at Kiddys Corner. From Level One onwards, children are encouraged to talk about their interests and make ‘presentations’ to the class. Children actively participate in our school productions in front of an audience of their teachers, parents and peers, building confidence and the ability to ‘face the crowd’. This also enhances leadership skills. Time is also spent on fine tuning soft skills that go with presentation making.
SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
At Kiddys Corner, explorations in science and technology include introduction to the Continents ,the Solar System and the planets , inquiry into natural phenomenas like evaporation, rain, tides etc. (in various stages) and much more.
